Wedding photography

Terms and conditions of your Wedding Photographer from Haarlem must be clear and understandable to everyone, which is why they are not printed in small print, written in incomprehensible language or worded in lengthy sentences. Where necessary, I have tried to make it clearer than it is. If you come across something that you do not understand, please let us know.

Photo album changes.(1)

Obvious errors such as wrong photos, text or photos that do not fit the timeline of the day are corrected in one free correction round.

Photo album changes.(2)

Changes to the creative content of the album (backgrounds, color, size of photos, cuts, layout, placement of photos, scratchbook additions) will be charged if, in the photographer's opinion, these are unreasonably large.

After all, you leave the creative interpretation to the photographer. (1) After final approval of the PDF proof by the customer, no rights can be derived from the final printed matter.

Photo album delivery.(3)

All photos that appear in the album are selected by you from the series supplied by me.

It is not the intention that photos taken by anyone other than the photographer are included in the selection. After your approval, the photo album will be sent by registered mail.

Important: Send your selection within 2 months

If the bridal couple has opted for a free Premium album and the photographer has still not received a selection of photos for the album after 2 months, I will then be forced to charge a surcharge due to the rapidly rising printing prices. If you have ordered an album, make sure you have a photo selection in time. The free option expires after 4 months.

Photography and film reporting.

The photography and filming take place on location. This means that lighting and sound conditions are not always optimal and comparable to a photo studio or sound studio.

The lower sound (and hall light) during the performance of a live band or the acoustics in a church can have consequences for the end result of the film.

During photography, any reflection spots on the bridal couple's face and reflections from glasses will be removed as much as possible from the bridal couple, but not from other guests.

Unforeseen situation. In the event of illness or accident, the videographer or photographer will always try to arrange for a replacement and contact the bridal couple or other client in a timely manner.

Any deposit already paid will be reimbursed within 2 weeks. The wedding photographer or videographer cannot be held additionally liable for so-called immaterial damage or compensation*. (*Penalty is an additional monetary compensation for the non-material damage someone has experienced. Consider emotional damage.)

The wedding photographer or videographer always takes a very wide margin to be on time for the wedding. If he is nevertheless delayed by an unexpected traffic situation or other emergency, he will contact the client in a timely manner.

Photographer/filmmaker obligations.

The photographer undertakes to be completely at the service of the couple and their family and friends and to make optimal use of his technical, creative and social skills, regardless of the length of the day.

The photographer undertakes to deliver all material within a reasonable period (2 to 3 weeks) and to inform the bridal couple about the progress or any delay.

To default.

In the event of unintentional default due to illness, accident, camera theft, water damage, crash of storage material or serious traffic delays, the wedding photographer cannot be held liable for non-material damage*. (see explanation for this) An already paid deposit or, if applicable, part thereof, will be reimbursed within 2 weeks.

In the event of demonstrable negligence, such as careless handling of images on SD cards, unacceptable amounts of poor quality photos (or film) (over- or underexposure, blurring), the photographer or filmmaker cannot be held liable for non-material damage, but can missing photos up to a maximum of the agreed final amount and depending on which moments are captured.

Wedding Cancel by bridal couple.

The deposit is acceptance of the agreement in accordance with the confirmation. Unless otherwise agreed, in the event of a regular cancellation (i.e. no corona, illness, death or accident of the bridal couple or their immediate family), the client also owes the remainder or part of the remainder. After all, the photographer has all this time blocked the date and the agreed hours for other assignments. See below the graduated scale within which you can cancel and what the financial consequences are. Changing a previous assignment to fewer hours is only possible at the original price.

Cancellation is possible up to 2 weeks after receipt of order confirmation. In that case, the down payment made will be compensation for costs already incurred such as visits and/or administrative operations.

Cancellation due to Corona, accident or other illness.

We do not assume, but it may happen that we are affected by the virus, accident or other illness. This is extra annoying just before the wedding.

As far as the bridal couple is concerned: if the corona restrictions are such that you cannot celebrate your wedding as you expected or if you become ill and have already made a down payment or residual payment, you will simply get it back in full. The condition is that we set a new definitive date for your wedding within one month, but no later than 3 months and in consultation. That new wedding date may even be a year later.

Back-up.

All photo and film material is kept for a maximum of 6 months and is available free of charge and royalty-free. Raw (RAW) material remains the property of the photographer.

Advertisements.

Images within two weeks of receipt.

Backorder.

Reordering photos or videos is free of charge. Reordering color photos to black and white is free of charge.

Driving hours and km reimbursement.

Driving hours are not charged. The km reimbursement is € 0.19 per kilometer and will only be charged outside the Randstad in appropriate cases.
